The Betfair Lambourn Open Day 2015 will take place on Good Friday, 3rd April. The open day is a unique opportunity to see the horses in the training establishments throughout the Lambourn Valley. More than 30 trainers will open their yards to the public and over 10,000 people are expected to take the opportunity to meet the horses, the trainers and to really see first hand the Lambourn racing industry. Many yards have special exhibits and some demonstrations including horses using hydrotherapy pools. Horse & Hound reports that Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Coneygree — trained by Mark Bradstock in Oxfordshire — will be travelling to the Berkshire village to take part in a parade in the afternoon. The eight-year-old, ridden by Nico de Boinville, became the first novice in 41 years to win the Gold Cup this year's Cheltenham Festival (13 March).
