The Countryside Alliance Awards, aka the Rural Oscars, turn 10 this year, and to celebrate we are asking you to vote for your very favourite UK & Ireland Champions from the life of the Awards. You can find out who is in the running and more about the project here.
Voting will be accepted via post and online throughout November. Good luck to the 40 retailers in the running, from our first winners, Weetons of Harrogate, right through to Weatherhead's, Spuds & Berries, Chalke Valley Stores and Our Cow Molly in 2013. 24-30 November - Great British Game Week

The Countryside Alliance, in conjunction with BASC's Taste of Game campaign, is running Great British Game Week, a focus for lots of events, dinners and special offers promoting game to consumers. We will be encouraging trying game for the first time and trying new products which have game in them i.e. pies, sausages, burgers and charcuterie. More will appear here soon but the week will run 24 November - 30 November.

FARM BUSINESS INNOVATION is the show designed for anybody with an interest in rural enterprise (farmers, smallholders, land owners, estate mangers etcetera) who are looking for new and innovative ways to use and raise revenue from their land. This is not an agricultural show showcasing farm machinery and live-stock etcetera, but a BUSINESS INNOVATION SHOW where interested parties can glean free advice, ideas and inspiration from experienced innovators, specialist suppliers and experts in the fields of just about everything from large scale wind farming, petting zoos and adventure playgrounds to restauranting & corporate hospitality, paintballing, brewing, angling, sailing . . . the list is endless.Show audience: 3,000 – Farm Business Innovation will be attended by land owners exploring new ways to diversify their business, farmers looking to raise their profile and launch new products, as well as potential buyers and smallholders looking for an additional source of income. The Countryside Alliance will have a stand at the Show and we look forward to seeing you there.
