Royal Welsh Show - 21 - 24 July. Come and visit our Director for Wales, Rachel Evans and the team, find out what we are up to, join up as a member and take away some of our campaigning literature.
Come and visit us on the stand to catch up on what we are doing for you in Wales with news and views straight from the National Assembly on dog breeding, fly grazing, access to land and water and more. There have been some major changes in Welsh Government, more on that below. I do hope to see some of you at the most finest agricultural show in Europe, the “Royal Welsh.”
All roads lead to Llanelwedd!
Join us at the Countryside Alliance stand number CCA813, situated on the edge of the Countryside Area. We are very grateful to our expert volunteers who join us this year providing us with a dream team to welcome you to the stand. This year we have each day:

Dorset Game Birds is now pleased to announce a new members morning on the 26th July hosted at Southern Counties shooting ground near Dorchester (DT2 9PW). It will be a fantastic opportunity for ladies interested in joining the Dorset Game Birds to meet with current members, learn about gun safety and licenses and even have a go at shooting. 26 July - Mid Devon Show at Hartnoll Farm nr Tiverton

Saturday 26th July 2014 Mid Devon Show at Hartnoll Farm, Post Hill, Tiverton, EX16 4NG. This Show was placed 1st (out of 53) in the Farmers Guardian competition for one-day shows in 2012. The Show attracts top quality livestock – in the region of 250 cattle and 800 sheep, along with pigs, goats, pygmy goats and other animals. The Main Ring attractions will include parades by three local packs of hounds – foxhounds, staghounds and beagles. For further details go to

Many different events held across Hampshire will celebrate the best of local food and farming throughout the Hampshire Food Festival which will this year run from 1st July- 3rd August. Events this year include farm tours, local food-themed festival menus and celebration dinners, hands-on chocolate and jam-making workshops, brewery tours, vineyard tours and wine tasting, cookery demonstrations, barbecues, lavender farm walks, lavender chocolate-making and lavender teas, food, wine and farm festivals, farmers’ markets and more! New for 2014 is the Hampshire Food Festival interactive map featuring Festival menus and events, as well as links to all events details and directions. Taste your way around Hampshire enjoying dishes created to celebrate local produce and the Festival.

29, 30, 31 July - New Forest & Hampshire County Show

The New Forest and Hampshire County Show is an annual agricultural show held for three days at the end of July at New Park, Brockenhurst in Hampshire (SO42 7QH.) The aim of the Show is to create a great family day our bringing together a celebration of traditional country pursuits, crafts, produce and entertainment. This year it is taking place on 29th, 30th & 31st July and there is an exciting line-up of events for all the family to enjoy!
The theme this year is ‘Hands On’ so come and live the country for a day. Roll up your sleeves, don your walking boots and get stuck in with all the hands-on activities that we have on offer! Try your hand at milking a cow, making a scarecrow, holding a day old chick, voting for your favourite feathered friend in the Poultry Tent and watching the amazing Jamie Squibb in action on his motorbike in our main ring.
You can also watch phenomenal displays of falcons, gundogs, terriers and ferret racing and have a go at the different activities in the Countryside area such as quizzing the huntsmen on their traditional day job and seeing the hounds; Peter Stagg will be discussing his vital job as a 'Keeper on the Beaulieu Estate and New Park Shooting Academy will showing you and talking about the safe handling of a shot gun. We are delighted to have cooking demonstrations from one of the country’s leading game chefs, Jose Souto, and also the Fly Fishing School is back by popular demand so book yourself a lesson on casting with the experts!
If it’s a countryside experience you’re after, the Show’s about to begin!
