The Times agrees to Countryside Alliance correction

The Countryside Alliance is grateful to the Times for correcting its recent coverage of game shooting. The Alliance spotted misleading statements online and in the print edition of the newspaper that failed to reflect the fact that a huge number of game birds reach the table via local processors, pubs and butchers. The Countryside Alliance is very supportive of all the small businesses that put game on our plates, and we felt this was an important correction to make. The Alliance reviews the press every day to ensure that the countryside and the rural community are receiving fair, impartial reporting.
