Blossom and Rose cocktail party fundraiser raises £37,000 for Casting for Recovery

A sell-out crowd attended The Chelsea Gardener on Wednesday (22 May) for the second annual Blossom and Rose cocktail party fundraiser for Casting for Recovery UK & Ireland. The party took place on the Wednesday of the Chelsea Flower Show and the area was a riot of floral colour.

Guests enjoyed Pinckneys pink gin with Fentimans tonic and Cawston Press generously donated the delicious soft drinks alongside fishy themed canapés provided by Finns of Chelsea using wonderful trout donated by Chalkstream. Guests partied on at Raffles nightclub which also opened its doors for Casting for Recovery!

The fundraising committee, which was chaired by Lady De Ramsey, was thrilled that the evening raised £37,000 net profit for CfR UK & Ireland, which organises health-giving fly-fishing retreats for ladies with and recovering from breast cancer.

Auctions lots generously donated included a stay at The Pig Hotel, an original oil painting by Jenny Slater and an Alexander McQueen dress.

Alison De Ramsey said; "If every committee was as much fun and successful as this one, life would be a breeze! Thank you all so much for your support. Here's to next year!"
