2025 has been an exciting year for Fishing for Schools, full of new experiences and achievements for the young people we work with. Our heartfelt thanks go to our incredible coaching team, whose commitment and energy bring every session to life. We are also grateful to the teachers and school staff who have welcomed Fishing for Schools into their schools and helped make it such a rewarding experience for all involved. Thank you also to the fisheries who have welcomed us, and to our wonderful funders and supporters who have made our work this year possible.
This year, we are proud to have delivered 180 Fishing for Schools sessions to hundreds of young learners across England, South Wales and Northern Ireland. We also launched our new Angling and the Countryside qualification and look forward to working with schools in the pilot phase of that qualification in 2026.
Fishing for Schools has made a very positive impact on the young people from our school. Many of our students had limited access to outdoor activities or opportunities to connect with nature, and this programme has helped them develop new skills, confidence, and resilience.

At its core, Fishing for Schools helps young people grow in confidence, develop practical skills, explore their potential, and build the self-belief that they can learn and succeed. By offering a fresh approach to learning and connecting them with the outdoors, we provide tools that support success both in school and beyond.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this year so rewarding.
