The Tackle Box continues partnership with Fishing for Schools

Fishing for Schools is truly delighted to renew our partnership with The Tackle Box, the Kent-based angling giant that is among the most respected suppliers to specialist anglers and a longstanding supporter of our Fishing for Schools programme.

Based in Dartford, The Tackle Box is known for their wide range of leading brands and their own expertly designed products. Their continued support helps us deliver the highest-quality sessions, providing young people in the Kent area with golden opportunities to learn new skills, build confidence and learn through spending time outdoors.

The Tackle Box says:

"Once again, we find ourselves partnering with Fishing for Schools. In the face of increasing financial pressure from legislation and trade margins we have had to reduce our 'Good Causes' activities for now; however, it is testament to how important the work of Charles Jardine and his team is to us and angling in general, that we continue our support by again sponsoring a local school to participate this year."

In partnership with The Tackle Box, we are able to deliver sessions at Waterfront UTC in Gillingham this year, giving students the chance to step outside the classroom, learn new skills and build confidence through hands-on activity. Who knows, we may even be helping to inspire the future Big Duffs, Lydia Thomas - or at the very least, someone who can out-fish their teacher!

We are grateful for their ongoing support and the role they play in making these sessions possible.

Fishing for Schools Director Charles Jardine says:

“For 40 years, The Tackle Box has been a source of inspiration to me and to anglers throughout the UK. The Peet brothers and the wider team have offered the kind of knowledge and support that anglers thrive on. As brilliant anglers themselves, they have the gravitas and kudos to deliver! To have their backing for Fishing for Schools means so much to me personally, and to the young people in Kent.”
