Voting has officially opened in England for the prestigious Countryside Alliance Awards, celebrating the very best of rural enterprise, produce and community spirit.

From Monday 2 March until midnight on Monday 6 April, customers across England are being invited to cast their votes to decide who will be crowned regional champions in this year’s awards.

Vote for your favourite rural business here

Often described as the “Rural Oscars”, the Countryside Alliance Awards recognise small businesses that go above and beyond for their communities. From village shops and local food heroes to rural pubs and enterprises that form the backbone of country life, the awards shine a spotlight on those who work tirelessly to keep rural Britain thriving.

Customer votes decide the winners

The regional finalists have already impressed with the strength of their nominations. Businesses were put forward by loyal customers who highlighted their passion, commitment and dedication to serving their communities. Reaching the finalist stage is a significant achievement in itself and a testament to the high regard in which these rural champions are held.

Now, it is over to the public.

Customers can support their favourite finalist by voting online. Every vote helps determine who will take the regional title and move forward to represent the East of England on the national stage.

What happens next?

Voting closes at midnight on Monday 6 April, with winners announced in mid-April. Regional champions will then be invited to a national champions’ reception at the House of Lords in July - a fitting celebration of the role rural businesses play in sustaining local economies and communities.

The Awards are not just about recognising commercial success. They celebrate businesses that are hubs of connection, service and resilience. The butcher who knows every customer by name, the pub that hosts community events, the shop that ensures no one feels isolated.

How to get involved

If you have nominated a business, shopped locally, or simply want to champion rural enterprise, now is the time to show your support.

A few minutes spent voting can make a real difference and help ensure that the businesses at the heart of the East of England receive the recognition they deserve.

Voting is now open. Have your say and back your rural champions.
