In a move to bolster grassroots support for hunting, the Countryside Alliance has launched a new membership scheme which will earn hunts £50 commission for every new eligible membership*.
This initiative, launched today (15 July) on the eve of the Festival of Hounds which is taking place at the East of England Showground on Wednesday 16 July, underlines the campaigning organisation’s enduring commitment to the future of lawful hunting activities and aims to support hunts across the country.
New members are able to nominate a registered hunt upon joining, which will then receive £50 commission from the Countryside Alliance to go towards hunt funds, providing a financial boost and reaffirming the organisation’s dedication to hunts, hounds and the hunting community.
The scheme is part of a wider push by the Countryside Alliance to ensure hunting remains viable and vibrant for future generations to enjoy.

Membership to the Countryside Alliance includes a number of benefits, including comprehensive liability insurance which is designed for hunting people. The limit of indemnity of £15 million is three times higher than other hunting membership groups. As well as covering hunting activities – whilst on a horse or on foot – the membership insurance covers a range of ancillary activities including working in kennels, fence building and mending, and clearing tracks which are not covered by many other policies. For a small additional sum, the insurance can be extended beyond hunting to cover non-competitive equine activities too.
