The Future for Hunting campaign is delighted to announce a new collaboration with acclaimed sculptor Zoe Carmichael, who has generously pledged to support the campaign through the sale of a stunning limited-edition bronze sculpture of a foxhound.

Zoe, whose work is celebrated for its ability to capture the character and spirit of the countryside, has created The Hound – a beautiful bronze study inspired by a Beaufort hound. In a generous gesture of support, she has committed to donating 10% of the proceeds from every sale of the sculpture towards the Future for Hunting campaign.

Created using traditional old-master sculpting techniques and cast in the UK using the lost-wax casting method, The Hound is a strictly limited edition of just 25 pieces. Measuring 24cm x 15cm x 7cm, the bronze offers supporters a unique opportunity to own an exceptional work of art while directly contributing to the campaign’s efforts to protect the future of trail hunting.

Each sculpture is priced at £2,475 plus VAT and can be purchased here.

Zoe Carmichael said:

"Trail hunting has shaped me as both a rider and a sculptor, teaching me invaluable skills, inspiring my work and introducing me to a lifelong community of friends. The Hound was inspired by my time at the Beaufort kennels and stables, where I developed a deep appreciation for these remarkable hounds and the countryside way of life they represent. We are incredibly fortunate to know the countryside in this way, which is why it is so concerning to see it under threat. Donating proceeds from this sculpture is my way of supporting a community, the countryside and a way of life that gives us so much."

The collaboration comes at a crucial time as the Future for Hunting campaign - which is a joint campaign between the Countryside Alliance and the British Hound Sports Association - continues to mobilise support in response to the government's consultation on proposals to ban trail hunting. The campaign is working to ensure that the voices of hunts, supporters, rural businesses and communities are heard, highlighting the significant social, cultural and economic consequences that such a ban would have across the countryside.

Sir Ben Wallace, chairman of the Future for Hunting campaign, welcomed the collaboration:

"We are incredibly grateful to Zoe for her support. Her work beautifully captures the essence of the hound, which lies at the heart of hunting. This generous contribution will help us continue our work at a critical time for the future of hunting, while giving supporters the chance to own a truly special piece of countryside art."

Supporters interested in purchasing one of the limited-edition bronzes are encouraged to register their interest promptly, as only 25 will be produced.

At the same time, everyone who values the future of hunting is urged to take part in the campaign by responding to the government's consultation on the future of trail hunting before 18 June: SIGN HERE NOW
