Important update: Casting for Recovery placed on long term hold

Over many years, Casting for Recovery UK & Ireland (CfR) has helped countless ladies affected by breast cancer through the brilliant and therapeutic weekend retreats tirelessly directed by Sue Shaw and her team.

The safety of CfR's vulnerable participants has always been of paramount importance and, whilst we continue to face the challenges presented by Covid-19, we find ourselves unable to host any CfR retreats for the foreseeable future and possibly beyond. Unfortunately, for this reason, we have had to make the difficult decision to place the CfR programme on long term hold and say goodbye to Sue and the team.

We are currently reviewing our operations at The Countryside Alliance Foundation (TCAF) whilst we navigate our way through this difficult period, developing a new strategy for the changing world ahead of us.

CfR was created in the UK 13 years ago, before coming under TCAF's umbrella and has hosted 54 retreats helping 692 ladies during its tenure. We do hope to continue CfR's vital work in the future, albeit perhaps in a different format.
