This week, Andrew Osborne became the new Chairman of the Masters of Foxhounds Association (MFHA). He succeeds Lord Mancroft, who has been Chairman for seven years.
Described as a 'hunting man to his bones', Andrew grew up in a hunting family in the Holderness country where his father was a joint-master and his mother was secretary.
He was joint-master and then huntsman of the Sinnington from 1996-2003, then joint-master and huntsman of the Bedale from 2005-2011, and filled the same role at the Cottesmore from 2012 until 2020.
Andrew has also been a company director and run a small organic farm. He currently serves on the Hunting Joint Committee with the Countryside Alliance. He is Chairman of the Trustees of the National Museum of Hunting and on the committee of the Peterborough Royal Foxhound Show. Andrew has served twice on the MFHA Committee and has been Vice Chairman since 2019.
