Casting for Recovery to make East Sussex debut in 2018

Written by Countryside Alliance | 5 July 2017

Casting for Recovery UK & Ireland is thrilled to announce a first ever retreat in the county of East Sussex. In June 2018 we will be hosted by Annie and her team at the stunning Brick Farm Lakes near Herstmonceux, with accommodation at the lovely Cooden Beach Hotel on the beachfront in nearby Bexhill. More information will be available in due course, and the retreat will open to registrations for ladies who have (or have had) breast cancer in early 2018.

Casting for Recovery UK & Ireland is a fly fishing therapy programme for ladies who have (or have had) breast cancer. The charitable programme is run on a residential basis with each retreat spanning two days and an itinerary which includes counselling, medical advice and fly casting instruction. Each section of the retreat is run by highly trained professionals who volunteer their services to support ladies on their way back to health. The charity visits some beautiful locations across England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, and is expanding every year as word spreads of the benefits fly fishing can bring to ladies who are keen to move forward from breast cancer.
