Downing Street meeting on ACPO issue - the way ahead

Written by Countryside Alliance | 17 March 2015

Barney White-Spunner, Executive Chair of the Countryside Alliance writes: We had a helpful and constructive meeting in Downing Street this morning to discuss the ACPO Firearms initiatives and their proposed Crimestoppers campaign. It was acknowledged that there are various issues that need to be addressed and the Countryside Alliance and ACPO agreed that we would work closely together to resolve them. Chief Constable Andy Marsh and I will be meeting again in the very near future after which we will be writing to the shooting community to explain the way forward, which looks to be sensible and positive.
