Fishing 4 Schools to hold open day in Norfolk

Written by Countryside Alliance | 11 September 2016

Over 50 pupils from four Norfolk schools will be attending an open day at Lenwade Pike Club Lake, Lenwade on Tuesday 13th September. The day will kick off at 10am, when groups will have a chance to try a number of fishing related activities in addition to fishing. Each group (six in total) will have 25 min slots to try a variety of activities including fly tying, knots, float/rig making, fly casting, entomology and a cooking demo. This year Fishing 4 Schools Director Charles Jardine (a noted artist as well as world-renowned fisherman) is also running an art session. A team of local volunteers will be helping on the day, from the local fishing club helping with the fishing sessions, to volunteers helping chaperone each group. The weather is looking good so it should be a lovely way to spend a September day away from the classroom….

The schools are:

  • The Clare School, Norwich

  • Great Witchingham C of E Primary School

  • Hockering C of E Primary School

  • Stradbroke Primary Academy
