Fishing for Schools Champions scheme heads to Westminster

Written by Countryside Alliance | 23 March 2015

On Monday 27th October 2014 we will be holding a reception at Parliament to honour the Champions of our Fishing 4 Schools scheme. Youngsters from over 20 schools will descend on Westminster for tea and medals, to be handed out by our Chairman, Kate Hoey MP, and the course Director, Charles Jardine. The teenagers, aged between 14-16, have all completed the short angling course and have been judged by their teachers to have gained the most from the scheme, whether in confidence, positive outlook or ability to socialise. We'll bring you photographs of the event after Monday and look forward to seeing supportive Parliamentarians at the event, including the MPs of some of the schoolchildren.
