Mobile Animal Exhibits under a Welsh Government review

Written by Countryside Alliance | 15 August 2016

The Welsh Government has raised concerns about the use of "Mobile Animal Exhibits" in Wales and have passed the work on to the Wales Animal Health and Welfare Framework Group. The review, which began as a piece of work on a potential ban of the use of wild animals in circuses, now goes much further and includes birds of prey displays, animals used in film and television, petting farms, animal encounters and more. If you think that the review involves your work and interests and have any comments or concerns please contact CA Director for Wales Rachel Evans directly on [email protected]

The Wales Animal Health and Welfare Framework Group will also be reviewing the codes of practice for companion animals as well as looking at potential codes for other species. They will also be considering the RSPCA's review on Responsible Dog Ownership amongst many other pieces of work
