Werritty Report suggests seismic change for Scottish grouse moors

Written by Countryside Alliance | 19 December 2019

Today the much anticipated review into driven grouse shooting in Scotland and its associated land management was finally released.

While we welcome this publication, and as a community we have nothing to hide, we are disappointed by many of the suggestions. If implemented it could mean a seismic change to the Scottish landscape and be potentially disastrous to the communities that depend on them for their livelihoods. In conjunction with the major land management and rural organisations in Scotland, we have issued a joint statement in response to the Werritty Report.

Our statement can be read here, and the report in full can be read here.
