From 1 January 2020 the programme of insurance linked to membership of the Countryside Alliance changed significantly. If you joined the Countryside Alliance or renewed your membership in 2019 you will not be affected until the date of your 2020 renewal. From that point:
- Individual members will no longer be in receipt of Personal Accident benefits and cover for equestrian activities will be excluded other than for hunting
- Gold members will no longer be in receipt of Personal Accident benefits but cover for equestrian activities will remain unchanged
- Group/Syndicate members will no longer be in receipt of Personal Accident benefits and cover for equestrian activities will be excluded, with the exception of Northern Ireland where hunting is an insured activity
- There will be no cover of any kind for individual or group/syndicate members based in the Republic of Ireland
