On Sunday 1st February The Sunday Telegraph published a piece following on from the Tedworth sab attack. The article, by Country Life Editor at Large, Clive Aslet, was entitled "We have to unmask the anti-hunt thugs" and in it Aslet wrote: "It's not acceptable for a small group of hardliners to terrorise a community that is engaged in a lawful pursuit". He concluded: "The police hand must be strengthened. New powers may be necessary. Hooded and uniformed gangs wouldn't be tolerated at a football match. Why should they be allowed in the countryside?"
