The 2024 TCS London Marathon is fast approaching

Meet Lucy Berryman

Being the daughter of a farmer, the countryside is and has always been an important and very prominent part of my life. Having run the marathon in 2023 for another amazing charity, I am so excited to be fundraising again for another great cause. The Countryside Alliance Foundation promotes and protects the rural way of life and does some great work getting more young people involved in the great outdoors.

Meet Gary Millone

The furthest I've ever run willingly is 10k… I am running the London Marathon for the Countryside Alliance Foundation because as country boy, I passionately believe that every child should have the chance to experience the countryside and all the positive benefits that it can bring to mind, body and soul.

Meet Lawrence Tribe-Endt

For those who know me, annual marathons are my thing. But this year, I'm upping the ante by asking for your support. Why? Because The Countryside Alliance Foundation's work goes way beyond the beautiful landscapes – it's about empowering people, protecting rural communities, and fostering a love for the great outdoors.

Meet Kit Longstaff

I am honored to announce that I will be participating in the London Marathon 2024 to raise funds for The Countryside Alliance Foundation. This incredible charity is dedicated to promoting the educational and health benefits of the countryside, and I am delighted to support their mission. As someone who has personally experienced the transformative power of nature, I believe that everyone should have access to these life-changing opportunities. That's why I'm asking for your help in reaching my fundraising goal of £2,000.

Meet James Hodgson

I have done a mixture of road and fell running for as long as I can remember and completed Paris and Edinburgh marathons last year. I have always wanted to run London Marathon and running for TCAF was a great opportunity it's to do so whilst raising money for a fantastic cause.

Meet Andrew Sallis

Running a marathon had never been on my bucket list. Most of my running has been behind a pack of hounds wearing inappropriate clothing. But given the chance to raise funds to give children the opportunity to learn new skills and experience the wonders of the countryside, I have embraced the rigours of training, spurred on by support from family and friends. Training on the Berkshire Downs is progressing well and I am so very thankful for every penny of support.

Meet Gareth Watchman

In late summer last year I happened to mention to Polly Portwin of the Countryside Alliance I had started running a little to strengthen up an ankle injury. A few alcoholic beverages later and she had me talked into running the London Marathon! I felt compelled to do what I could after hearing the great work of The Countryside Alliance Foundation, particularly the Fishing For Schools and Castaway projects.

Gareth

From everyone here at The Countryside Alliance Foundation, we wish the very best to all our amazing runners taking on the 2024 TCS London Marathon.

Thank you!
