We aim to keep our members and supporters as up-to-date as possible on the key rural issues that we are campaigning for, including those relating to the National Trust.
On 1st September, the National Trust released their AGM Booklet which included details about the voting procedure ahead of this year's AGM which is being held on Saturday, 30th October, at the Harrogate Convention Centre.
We are urging National Trust members to vote against the members' resolution which proposes that the National Trust bans trail hunting, exempt hunting and hound exercise on their land, to prevent potential illegal activity in breach of the Hunting Act 2004 and the protection of Badgers Act 1992 and to prevent damage to other flora and fauna by hunts, their hounds and their followers.
If you are a member of the National Trust, are a National Trust tenant, have been considering membership, or if you simply enjoy visiting National Trust properties, please subscribe to our dedicated newsletter. We will endeavour to keep our members and supporters fully informed about any further action that may be required ahead of the AGM as well as offering further advice about the Trust's AGM procedure and any forthcoming matters that we believe may be of interest.
