We need you to take action for hunting

The government has made a manifesto commitment to ban trail hunting and reconfirmed this intention in the Animal Welfare Strategy published on 22 December 2025, in which it also stated a public consultation will be launched “early” in 2026 on how to deliver the ban.

The Countryside Alliance and the British Hound Sports Association (BHSA) are working together in a joint campaign, chaired by Sir Ben Wallace, defending all forms of legal hunting and are urging hunt supporters to take action to protect the infrastructure of hunts and the future of our packs of hounds.

By signing up to our Action for Hunting initiative, you will help to protect our hounds, jobs and homes for hunt staff and our way of life.

You may be asked to submit a response to the consultation, sign e-lobbies, online petitions, or lobby your MP as we face potential legislation that threatens the hunting community. You can read more about the Campaign for Hunting here.
