Casting for Recovery's excellent week

Casting for Recovery UK & Ireland, the fly fishing retreat programme run by The Countryside Alliance Foundation for ladies who have (or have had) breast cancer, has had two excellent pieces of news this week.

Firstly, a fundraising lunch was held at the Mount Falcon Hotel in Co Mayo on Tuesday and raised 2,000 Euros for Casting for Recovery. Mount Falcon has hosted retreats for Casting for Recovery for many years and the team there has always shown great generosity and support for the project.

Secondly, Casting for Recovery's former company secretary, Patricia Day (pictured), was installed this week as Master of the Worshipful Company of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators at a dinner held at Saddlers' Hall in the City of London. As Master, Patricia can name a charity of her choice to benefit from the Company's generosity over the next year and she has chosen Casting for Recovery.

Both of these donations will make a huge difference to our charitable retreat programme in 2016 and we are extremely grateful. For more information on Casting for Recovery visit the website at www.castingforrecovery.org.uk. Ladies hoping to join us at one of our retreats in 2016 will be able to apply before year-end. NB places on retreat are allocated by ballot and are subject to medical clearance. Stocks of leaflets are available and can be ordered by emailing requirements to [email protected].
