Engaging with us

Fishing for Schools offers a range of opportunities for parents and schools.

We provide opportunity for children to build their confidence and self-esteem, while assisting with new qualifications and skills.

Schools looking to help their students are also encouraged to contact us. We will work tirelessly, with you and your students to provide an experience of the natural environment.

Life more exciting outdoors

From confidence to recognised skills

Fishing for Schools helps young people build confidence, re engage with education and develop skills through time spent outdoors.

We are now developing the Angling and the Countryside qualification to turn that progress into something lasting. It will give pupils recognised, accredited skills while building knowledge of angling, conservation and the wider countryside.

This creates a clear pathway for young people, helping them move forward with confidence, purpose and a stronger connection to the countryside.

Partnering with The Tackle Box

The Tackle Box

Our partnership with The Tackle Box shows how support from the angling community can make a direct and lasting difference to young people.

As a leading specialist retailer, The Tackle Box has played an important role in supporting the delivery of our Fishing for Schools programme. Their contribution helps us deliver engaging sessions for young people who may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience fishing.

Their commitment and support have meant a great deal to us. It is particularly valuable to work with a partner that shares our aim of supporting young people into angling across Kent.

Through their support, we can deliver sessions at Waterfront UTC in Gillingham this year, giving students the chance to step outside the classroom, learn new skills, and build confidence through hands-on activity.

Partnerships like this help us continue our work with schools across the country, reaching young people who benefit from time outdoors, structured learning, and the chance to try something new.

Fishing for Schools Director, Charles Jardine said:

“We are incredibly proud of our partnership with The Tackle Box, which has been a source of inspiration to us at Fishing for Schools. The Peet brothers and the wider team have always offered the kind of knowledge and support that anglers rely on. To have their backing for Fishing for Schools mean a great deal.”
