Tickets for the Future for Hunting Festival of Hounds, which returns to the East of England Showground near Peterborough, on Wednesday 22 July 2026, are now on sale.

Taking place alongside the prestigious Peterborough Royal Foxhound Show – which celebrates its 138^th anniversary – the Festival is one of the highlights of the summer hunting calendar. Thousands of supporters are expected to gather for what promises to be a memorable day celebrating hounds, hunting and the countryside communities that support them.

This year's Festival carries particular significance following the government’s 12-week consultation into how to implement a ban on trail hunting (which closes on 18 June). Being supported by the Future for Hunting campaign – the joint initiative between the British Hound Sports Association and the Countryside Alliance – the day will bring together hunt supporters from across the country to demonstrate their determination to secure a future for hunting.

Polly Portwin, Director of the Campaign for Hunting at the Countryside Alliance, expressed the importance of hunt supporters coming together:

"The Festival of Hounds has always been a special day in the hunting calendar, but this year it feels more important than ever and the Alliance is delighted to be supporting it again this year. After the challenges our community has faced over recent months – and the ones that lie ahead - the Alliance is looking forward to seeing supporters from across the country come together to demonstrate the strength, unity and resilience of hunting. It is a chance to show the very best of our community and we encourage as many people as possible to support this incredible day.”

Many of the finest modern and Old English foxhounds from across the country will compete for the coveted championship titles, while championships will also be contested by beagles, harriers and basset hounds, making the Festival one of the largest and most important gatherings of working scent hounds anywhere in the world.

Visitors can also enjoy the annual Hunt Picnic Competition, a wide range of trade stands, displays, refreshments and a licensed bar, ensuring there is something for all ages throughout the day.
