Farlows fundraiser nets more than £4,000 for Fishing for Schools

More than £4,000 was raised for Fishing for Schools last night (22 November) by a fundraising evening and grand auction at Farlows in Pall Mall London.

Top lots included a commission to paint a fish of your choice by our director and acclaimed artist Charles Jardine – which sold for £500, and the chance to fish at Bransbury Mill on the lower River Deve – which sold for £320.

Charles Jardine said: "It was a very successful night at Farlows and we raised a considerable amount of money. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended and made donations, to Farlows for hosting us and to Tanners Wines of Shropshire who provided the refreshments. Steve Edge, who ran the auction was superb and we had a fabulous evening."

Charles is already collecting lots for a further auction, in aid of Fishing for Schools and our sister charity Casting for Recovery UK & Ireland, which will take place in the spring. If you would like to donate, please contact [email protected]
