about this blogRead moreAs the hunting season draws to a close, the hounds and hunt horses start to enjoy a well-earned break whilst the Countryside Alliance prepares for a bumper summer schedule. In addition to attending puppy shows, kennel open days and other hunt events, we are looking forward to greeting members and supporters face-to-face at a number of events to discuss our campaign objectives and explain political developments.
Kick-starting our events season is Badminton Horse Trials, presented by MARS Equestrian. Members are invited to visit our hospitality area situated in a wonderful location out on the cross country course, where all the action will be taking place on Sunday 7th May this year due to the Coronation on Saturday 6th May. Our members' marquee offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy refreshments in our seated area whilst watching the elite athletes – both equine and human - take on this world-famous competition.
The Countryside Alliance is thrilled to be a key sponsor of the Festival of Hunting again this year. The pinnacle of the summer hunting calendar takes place on Wednesday 19th July at the East of England Showground. This iconic event - which features the prestigious Peterborough Royal Foxhound Show - is the epitome of tradition, heritage and professional expertise, beautifully combined with modern enterprise and family entertainment. The Alliance's support and promotion for this event is unequivocal and we look forward to welcoming visitors to the show onto our hospitality area throughout the event.
With weeks rolling on faster than ever, take a moment to view our events calendar to ensure you don't miss out on your favourite events.
Our Gold Members can enjoy free entry to a number of these events and it's not too late to take advantage of the benefits which include free tickets to four of the most fabulous sporting events of the year: Badminton Horse Trials, the Festival of Hunting, the Game Fair and Cheltenham Countryside Day.
Gold Members, who are entitled to a free ticket for cross country day at Badminton Horse Trials, have been invited to apply for this membership benefit before 30th March. If you are a Gold Member and haven't received details about how to apply for your Badminton ticket, please complete the form here.
