about this blogRead moreWe had a huge response to our 'This Sporting Life' photography competition sponsored by Harkila and we would just like to to say a huge thank you to all those who took the time to enter. We had hundreds of wonderful entries to sift through and the calibre of entries was extremely high. However, after much deliberation, we are very pleased to announce that we have chosen our winner. A ginormous congratulations goes to George Gunn for his stunning photograph which we felt truly portrayed the country sporting life.

Description: 'North York Moors game keepers, travelling in between drives. After giving the moor everything they have all year round the hard work pays off on the day.'
George is the lucky winner of a new Autumn/Winter 2017 Harkila jacket and his photograph will be featuring in the Winter edition of My Countryside magazine.
Congratulations also goes to our two finalists, Janet Ladner and Nick Wilson for their beautiful photographs.

Description: The Mid Devon Hunt met at Chagford, Devon for the Annual Boxing Day meet. This photo was taken last Boxing Day and is of MFH Duncan Hume piping on his hounds as the struck up on the trail not far from Fernworthy Reservoir.
