Two donations to the Fishing for Schools south west team

It's been a successful couple of weeks for the Fishing for Schools south west team. They have received two generous donations to help the hundreds of youngsters who take part in F4S activities across the region.

A donation of just under £200 was handed over to our instructor Charlie Halliday at the European Sport Fishing Show at UWE from the Bristol Water Evening Fly Fishing League (pictured).

The money will be used to buy some suitably weighted fly fishing equipment for tackling carp - an activity that acts as a useful and exciting precursor to a visit to the local trout fishery for the young anglers.

And www.thelurebox.co.uk has donated some shads to be used for unhooking practice to help the children gain confidence before handling live hooked fish.

Very many thanks to both groups.
