This coming September marks a major milestone for the Angling and the Countryside qualification, as schools in England and Wales begin piloting this exciting new programme. This is a significant step forward, with wider roll-out expected in the 2027–28 academic year.
We would like to extend our thanks to all schools and provisions for their continued support and patience throughout this development phase. It has been fantastic to see the qualification progress, and we are looking forward to bringing it fully to life in school and delivery settings.
We would also like to thank our coaching team for the invaluable support in which they have offered this wonderful opportunity for young people from all sectors of school life.
Behind the scenes, the development team is working at pace on pilot preparations, including handbooks, learning resources, and onboarding support for participating settings.
Online discovery session – July 2026
For those who were unable to attend our first session in February, we will be hosting a further online discovery session in July to explore the qualification and answer your questions. Full details will be shared in next month’s newsletter.
