about this blogRead moreAround 60 pupils from four Norfolk schools will take part in a fun fishing day at Lenwade Pike Club near Norwich on Tuesday 13 September, organised by Fishing 4 Schools.
All local press are invited to come along to learn all about F4S and join in the fun.
F4S is a project that introduces all types of fishing to children, aged from 10-14, who have not had the opportunity to try the sport before. The aim is to engage young people in the various aspects of fishing and related learning skills, whilst teaching them about the countryside, conservation and how water works. During the event, which runs from 10am-2pm, the youngsters will try the following activities:
Director of F4S Charles Jardine said: "We held our first open day at Lenwade last year and it was such a success we've made it an annual event. I can't wait to get back to the lake with our Norfolk volunteers and help these young people get fishing."
