The Warter Priory Clay Shoot in support of the Countryside Alliance

Warter Priory, the world-class shooting estate set in the heart of East Yorkshire, is hosting a two-day clay shoot in support of the Countryside Alliance on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 May 2024. This renowned annual event has over the years raised more than £900,000, with in excess of £135,000 donated to the GWCT in 2021, and £165,000 to Parkinson's UK last year. All the proceeds from this year’s clay shoot, along with those from a fundraising Ball for 350 guests on the night of Saturday 18 May, will be going to the Countryside Alliance, and we are incredibly grateful to the Warter Priory Estate for choosing the Alliance as its beneficiary.

There will be up to 60 teams of eight (four guns and four loaders) shooting a total of six stands, one of which will be a pool shoot, each day. The price per team is £1,400, and this includes breakfast buns with tea / coffee on arrival, snacks and refreshments throughout the day, and a champagne drinks reception following which there will be lunch with an auction of some unique lots, many of which would not be available on the open market. All 12 and 20 bore shotgun cartridges will be provided.

This will be the main fundraising event for the Countryside Alliance in 2024, and we are hoping that it will generate significant funds; funds that with the lead up to the forthcoming General Election will be of considerable importance to the Alliance. It is therefore very much hoped that you will bring, or be part of, a team on either the 16 or 17 May, for what promises to be a thoroughly enjoyable event. Details of how to reserve a team, as well as to book tickets for the Bushbeater’s Ball on Saturday 18 May, can be found here, alongside the entry form which you can also download below.
