Countryside Alliance to challenge Scottish Conservatives on their rural vision

The Scottish Countryside Alliance will be hosting a fringe event at the Scottish Conservative Party Conference in Aberdeen on the challenges facing rural communities in Scotland.

Conservative MP, John Lamont, and MSP, Rachael Hamilton, will be joined by David Fyffe from Scottish Land and Estates and Amanda Burgauer from Scottish Rural Action, to discuss issues from broadband connectivity and bank branch closures, to business rates for sporting estates.

The event will be an opportunity to discuss how the rural way of life should be supported, and explore the Conservative vision for rural communities in Scotland.

The event is taking place on Friday 2 March from 17.30–19.00 in the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (inside the conference secure zone).
