Cyrus Todiwala

Cyrus is an innovative chef who blends traditional Indian cooking with other flavours and is very keen on game. He has even created a delicious venison pickle! Cyrus has worked with Game-to-Eat frequently, hosting events and supplying recipes and Game-to-Eat regularly support his charity fund-raising dinners, providing game for the menus.

Cyrus Todiwala OBE is Proprietor and Executive Chef of the Café Spice Namasté restaurant and manages two other restaurants - The Parsee in Highgate and Cafe T in New Cavendish Street - and has been credited with an innovative and fresh approach to Indian cuisine in addition to being a champion of learning in the workplace.

Cyrus has been awarded an OBE in the 2010 Queen's New Year's Honours List for his services to the hospitality industry.

Born and brought up in Bombay, India, Cyrus Todiwala OBE graduated from that city's Catering College and trained as a chef with Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces in India. He left India for Europe in 1991, where he developed his hallmark style of blending traditional Indian culinary techniques and flavours with more unexpected ingredients to the cuisine, including game. Being a keen environmentalist, he cooks with organic products wherever possible. Cyrus regularly appears on Saturday Kitchen, as well as regular slots on national radio stations such as BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 5 Live and Talk Radio.
